One Fall is Katipunan at UC Riverside's 20th Annual Philippine Culture Night (PCN).
It is a night of dancing, acting and music. Philippine culture is too diverse, complicated and even controversial to
convey in a single night; However, Katipunan at UCR attempts to put forward an
intriguing and entertaining show every year as an expression of our college communities'
desire to belong to a culture and a greater whole. All dances are choreographed by students, the entirety of the play was written by
students, and all practices have been facilitated by students. We invite everyone to enjoy the evening of entertainment.
Katipunan at UC Riverside is a non-profit Pilipino Student Organization at UC Riverside. We seek to serve our
members and our communities through four aspects: Cultural, Educational, Political and Social. Created in 1979,
Katipunan PSO is one of the largest, most active clubs at UCR with over 150 members and a 30 year history. Katipunan
is a tagalog word roughly translated to "gathering," named after the anti-colonial revolutionary group in the 19th century
Philippines.
Bantay Bata is a philanthropic program of the ABS-CBN foundation, dedicated to aid abused children in the Philippines.
Since 1996, Bantay Bata has operated a 24-hour emergency hotline for recieving reports of abuse. Through this and their programs,
they have helped and aided thousands of children through rehabilitation, shelter, therapy, medical aid, and more. Katipunan at UCR is proud to work with the foundation to contribute
to their mission.
